What made you decide to study in Kyoto?
Since I grew up enjoying Japanese anime and manga in my childhood, Japan was a country I longed tovisit. When I was searching on the Internet to study abroad at a college or another vocational school inJapan, I found a review of students at the vocational school. The review was very helpful, so I set”studying at this vocational school” as my goal. I also found Kyoto is really attractive, seeing a lot ofbeautiful photos of tourist spots in Kyoto.
How is your student life in Kyoto?
At first, since Japanese was difficult for me, it was hard for me to keep up with the classes. However, byre-examining the class contents in Vietnamese and English and continuing to review them, I becameable to understand the class contents and became more and more interested in studying. I’m also gladthat I have made more friends little by little as I’ve improved my Japanese. Although I used to be anindoor person, I now look forward to going out with my friends. I have been to many places where youcan feel the history of Kyoto, such as Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Kinkaku-jiTemple. Among these, the most impressive thing for me is the scenery overlooking Kyoto from themountains above.
What is your future goal?
I have already decided to join a Japanese company as a programmer after graduation. Since I think myskills are still under development, I would like to improve them through working experience. My goal is tobecome a project leader and then a manager. To that end, I will work hard to build my career. I also havea dream of taking on a responsible job and acting as a mediator between Vietnam and Japan.

The friends I have made in Kyoto are my treasure. They have really supported me by letting me talk tothem about my concerns.
